California burning

It is rare that I post or show any image that has not been retouched, however, last night I captured what I consider to be amazing, and timely in a sense.  The family was from the Los Angeles area which is now burning almost out of control  They traveled through burnt out areas to get down to Laguna Beach where I photograph on the ocean  What we experienced was etherial and emotional.  A faint scent of burning, a sky red with fury.  The pictures here are literally right out of the camera with no enhancing.  This is what Southern California looks like at sunset.  This family dodged the fire, many have not.  It’s really close to home this time, the danger, the impact to our neighbors , very emotional times.
