✭✭✭✭✭”My wife and I became acquainted with Lorin Backe photography through a charity auction purchase we had made. Scheduling our photo session was easy, convenient and we looked forward to the appointment. As we were familiar with the location, meeting Lorin was no problem, we introduced ourselves and moved downed to the beach on what was a beautiful Southern California evening. Lorin was well prepared and knew what he wanted to accomplish. He had us in several posed positions with different backgrounds and anticipated lighting changes, to get the most out of the session. He was very confident that we would be happy with the results and he was so very right. When we met later the same week to review the photos at his studio, he was organized and walked us through an organized process to help us choose the shots we liked most.
The next time we met him was to view the finished product and we were indeed pleased; but it’s after a close friend of ours commented that Lorin “caught the best of of both of us” in his work that prompted us to provide this review.” Steve H. Orange

✭✭✭✭✭”We had our family portrait taken by Lorin. We were very happy with the quality of the work he did for us. Lorin is meticulous from the photo session to the final photoshopping and refining of the pictures. Unlike some previous professional photographers we had tried, Lorin is extremely picky about lighting and had us arrive to the beach (he specializes in beach settings) at a specific time to catch the best light and didn’t start shooting pictures until he thought the light was perfect. Considering we had two small children in freezing cold weather, he was very patient and kept readjusting the positions of our bodies. His attention to body position really makes a difference in how the shot comes out. All this perfectionism means that he doesn’t take hundreds of shots but rather a few dozen – but since his shots are really good, you don’t have to spend hours sifting through hundreds of photos either! He was incredibly detail oriented about the airbrushing techniques so that we looked picture perfect and he also does the custom framing himself too.
